The Gary Brown Family Foundation

Carrying forward Gary Brown’s legacy through youth sports, family and the fight against cancer.

Our Mission

The GB33 Foundation provides financial and volunteer support to causes that carry forward Gary Brown’s legacy on and off the field. We support youth sports programs, fund camps and after school and summer programs that help young people grow through athletics, and stand alongside families facing a cancer diagnosis, including through patient advocacy and support for cancer research. While our roots are in Gary’s hometown of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, our mission reaches across the country, just as Gary’s career did.

About Gary

Gary Brown was a standout running back at Penn State, an eight year NFL veteran, and an NFL running backs coach for eleven seasons, known across the league for getting the best out of his players. But to his wife, Kim, and their three children, he was simply a devoted husband and father with a big heart and an even bigger smile. After his passing in 2022 following a battle with cancer, his family created the GB33 Foundation to carry his impact forward.

Making A Difference

In 2025, the GB33 Foundation provided new uniforms for the Williamsport Youth Football program. Each uniform carries the GB33 patch, a small reminder of Gary’s belief that every kid deserves the opportunity for success through team athletics.
